Adult Learning Center

We value teaching that recognizes the power and relevancy of God's inerrant word for today. Adult biblical education at FBC is rooted in the Sunday morning Adult Learning Center. We value adult learning that is applicationally oriented, biblically balanced, consistent with grace principles, and dedicated to skillful teaching. These values are vital in Our Relationship To Truth.

Postcards of Encouragement: Philemon and Jude

In a “move it or lose it” society, many of us are starving for a word of encouragement that refreshes the depths of our souls. This class will explore what Paul and Jude “jotted down” about speaking the truth in love, sharing our faith, establishing healthy boundaries and about praying.

Encountering the Savior: Unnamed Men Who Met Jesus

What seems important on the outside and what truly matters can be 2 different things. This class, designed for men (sorry ladies…but you’ll have your own class!) will take a look at several men who were not named in Scripture but whose stories offer valuable lessons today about what it means to live a life of faith. We’ll also explore how being a man affects how we relate to Jesus.

Encountering the Savior: Unnamed Women Who Met Jesus

We know the names of some of Jesus’ first women followers; others remain unknown to us. But their stories…their encounters with Him…are beautiful and revealing. This class for women will focus on Jesus’ encounters with women whose name we never learn.

Living Within the Margins: Restoration for Overloaded Lives

Just how busy does God call us to be? Does He have expectations for our effectiveness, efficiency, proficiency and production? With the help of a video series by Dr. Richard Swenson called “Margin”, this class will focus on our pursuit of success and the price we sometimes pay.

The Gift of Doubt: Living and Looking Through “A Mirror Dimly”

Doubt is often chided but rarely addressed within the body of Christ. Can doubt play a part in drawing us nearer to God? “The Gift of Doubt” course is a Biblical look into the nature of doubt…and belief. Be encouraged. There is light in the shadows.
