Family Ministries

The Family Ministry at Fellowship Bible Church sees its responsibility as follows:

An Equipping Ministry

Equip newlyweds to begin well.
Equip men and women to fulfill the unique roles God has for them.
Equip married couples to live with a lifelong commitment to oneness and to enjoy it enough that their children will see the innate value of marriage.
Equip parents to train, love, and disciple their children to a life lived for Christ for the long haul.
Equip singles and senior adults to connect with others and live an active life in the FBC Body.

We see great potential for joy and purpose in families. Children can honor parents, and parents can enjoy their children. Men can lead, and women can see their eternal significance.

We also see great sorrow and tragedy in families, both that which befalls us through no fault of our own and that which we cause. The church can bear with one another in difficulty with an eternal and grace-filled perspective. The church can supply unique comfort, wisdom, and support as we walk through these hard times.

No other structure can replace the family. Without it, our children have no moral foundation. Without it, they become moral illiterates whose only law is the self.
