FBC Missions Focus

During the last few years, FBC Missions has become focused on Progression Toward Maturity, moving people from being unbelievers to becoming spiritually focused persons.

One of FBC Missions biggest involvements around the world has become the creation, translation and teaching of Biblical literatures which focus on this Progression to Maturity.  We have identified four (4) phases to this progression:

The Christian life is a relationship; therefore our desire is to lead people into a deep and intimate relationship with God. In order to grow into that level of relationship with God, there are foundational truths that must be clearly taught and understood. We believe these foundational truths to be the foundation for salvation.

The Creation to Christlessons are the focus of this phase, pointing the unbeliever to Christ as the only means for salvation.

The moment someone is born again, there is an immediate change of position that takes place in his or her life. At that very moment, one becomes a child of God, and is taken out of Adam and placed into Christ. All that Christ is, and all that Christ has, becomes ours. Before service to God is considered, one must be grounded in an understanding of who we are in Christ.

The Creation to Christ for Growing Believersand The New Birth Explained are the focus of this phase, building a good foundation for the new believer.

In order for believers to move on to maturity, we must learn to walk and depend upon the Holy Spirit.

The Acts for Growing Believerslesson is the focus of this phase, highlighting dependence on the Holy Spirit and introducing the Church to the growing believer.

The Holy Spirit is teaching us to walk less in the flesh and more in the Spirit, with Christ becoming more and more the object of our hearts. The focus of this phase is the study of the Epistles, learning to rest in Christ and his finished work. The Romans to Revelation for Growing Believers and The Principles of Spiritual Growth, among others are used in this phase.
