Podcasting is simply a method of delivering and/or receiving fresh audio content in mp3 format from web sites that offer audio content. Users install a Podcast client program on their local computer and then subscribe to Podcast 'feeds' found at web sites offering audio content. The Podcast client checks the feeds on a regular basis for new content, and when new content is made available it is downloaded to the user's computer automatically. Think Tivo for audio content.
For example, a user who subscribes to one of the Fellowship Bible Church's Podcast feeds will automatically receive our content (sermons, songs, classes, audio specials) delivered to their Podcast client whenever we post new audio content.
