The purpose of one-on-one discipleship is to bring together individuals for fellowship, accountability, service and care for one another through the study and application of God’s Word. It is a journey together down the path of growing into the fullness of Christ.

Baptism is a vital part of identifying with the body of believers. After trusting Christ as our Savior, the Scriptures command us to publicly give testimony of our faith in Christ through water baptism. Water baptism is God's creative way to picture our salvation. It helps us visualize what happened to us when we were born again. Baptism helps us tell others what Christ did for us when He died on the cross, and it openly identifies us with Him. We are publicly identifying ourselves with Christ—His death, His burial, and His resurrections (Romans 6:1-5). Water baptism in no way contributes to our spiritual birth. It merely bears witness to the fact that we have trusted Christ and are born again. It is, in essence, the first step in discipleship, the first step in following Jesus as our Master and Lord.

Baptism services are performed three times a year. A class is offered to fully explore what baptism means. If you would like to be baptized, we are here to help you take that next step in your relationship with Christ. If you are interested in being baptized and would like to get started, fill out the request form to the right.  You can also download the document below to help you prepare for this very important step in your journey of faith.

Membership at Fellowship Bible Church needs to be preceded by believer’s baptism.

Does it really matter if I’m a member or not? Why do I have to take a class to even become a member? Why do I have to sign anything? You may have asked these questions about our membership process, skeptical as to why there seem to be so many “hoops” to jump through.

It’s true. We take membership seriously and with a lot of gravity. Committing yourself to a body of believers is weighty. But it’s also wonderful. When Fellowship Bible Church Members join, they commit to a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support. They are called to a biblical degree of responsibility, service, and sacrifice to their brothers and sisters. Our elders and leaders also pledge to assist our members with care, counsel, prayer and teaching.

Attending a membership class is mandatory for becoming a member at FBC. Our classes are offered a few times a year as Friday night or Saturday morning sessions. The Friday session is 6:30-9:30 p.m. The Saturday session starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends by noon. It will cover the theological and doctrinal basis of what we believe, our Constitution and Bylaws, and our core values. Baptism is required for membership at FBC.

After the membership class, you will be scheduled for an interview with two of our elders (or elder and a pastor). After the interview, the elders will agree on all membership applications and you will sign a written agreement accepting membership if you choose to do so.

Use the form below to register for one of the classes listed. If you are registering your child(ren) for baptism, please indicate that in the message box.
