Welcome team members enjoy meeting new people and ministering to the congregation. They have special gifts of hospitality, mercy, compassion, help, serving and/or encouragement. If this sounds like you, please consider serving on one of the following teams.
Greeters are the face of FBC as worshippers enter through our doors. A friendly smile and strong handshake are excellent ways to brighten someone’s day and set a positive environment for worship and growth in Christ.
When a guest enters our doors, someone needs to be available to meet their needs. Our hosts answer questions, provide tours of the facility, and help guests find their way around. This friendly servant makes a guest feel welcomed and valued.
Information Center Host
The information center is a very important station during service times. Those who man the info center answer questions, take requests, and serve as liaison between Sunday service and weekday administration.
Ushers are indispensable servants who greet everyone with a friendly smile, help with seating and other needs, collect the offering, and distribute the elements for communion. They are essential for engaging guests as they prepare for worship.
Every Sunday, coffee is available for those who come to FBC. The Koinonia Coffee Corner provides specialty coffee, regular coffee and decaf coffee, requesting a small donation. A devoted group of servants work to prepare, serve, and clean-up for this ministry.
Guest Care Ministries
These ministries include manning the guest welcome kiosk, distributing guest welcome bags, preparing for and hosting a guest luncheon once a month, and making follow-up contacts with each guest visiting FBC.
Bread Baking Ministry
On the first Saturday of the month, bread bakers gather in the Hospitality Suite at 8:00 a.m. to mix, knead, fellowship during rising time, roll out and bake bread to share with our guests as part of the Guest Welcome bags. At the end of the month, the extra bread is shared with our local community partners.
