2 Corinthians - part 13
2 Corinthians 5:11-21, Part 2
The Ministry of Reconciliation
Focus on verses 16-21
What this section speaks to us about:
1. We have moved from a human/temporal view of things to seeing things from a spiritual/eternal perspective.
2. We have exchanged an old way of life without God for a new life in intimate relationship with God.
3. We have been delivered from a bondage to sin and been given the righteousness of God.
Application
✔️What does it mean that God has reconciled us to himself?
✔️How do we carry out this ministry of reconciliation?
✔️In your own words and a way that an unbeliever would understand, what is this message of reconciliation?
✔️How do we communicate this message to those who don’t think they need to hear it?
✔️What are our responsibilities as Christ’s ambassadors?
HOW
How could One become sin for many?
And how could One die for all?
How could blood flow through the ages
To cancel the cursed Fall?
How could the Faultless suffer?
And the guilty one go free?
How could He hang in silence
When death was meant for me?
How could a Cross on Calvary
And nails driven deep with hate?
Become a sign of victory
That sealed the devil’s fate?
How could God love the world
So much that He would give;
His only Son, our Savior
So all the world would live?
