Biblical Soul Care Workshops

Every day we give counsel. Every day we receive counsel.

Connecting God's Word to Everyday Life

Every day we give counsel, and every day we receive it. A friend shares a struggle. A family member asks for advice. Someone we care about is walking through anxiety, grief, conflict, illness, or another difficult circumstance. What do we say? How can we respond in a way that points them toward the truth and hope found in God's Word?

Biblical Soul Care Workshops are designed to help believers grow in their ability to connect the truth of Scripture to the real circumstances of life.

Romans 15:14 reminds us that believers are able to "admonish one another"—to instruct, encourage, and counsel one another with biblical truth. You don't have to be a professional counselor or have all the answers. These workshops provide practical opportunities to grow in your understanding of God's Word and become better equipped to care for others.

Why Biblical Soul Care Workshops?

Biblical soul care is simply bringing the truth of God's Word to bear on the struggles and circumstances of life.

As we learn to understand and apply Scripture, we become better equipped not only for our own walk with Christ, but also to lovingly walk alongside others. Ephesians 4:15–16 describes believers as "speaking the truth in love" so that the whole body grows toward maturity in Christ.

Each workshop takes a common life struggle and asks: How does God's Word help us understand this? How can biblical truth shape the way we respond? And how can we lovingly help someone else walk through it?

Whether you want to grow personally or become better equipped to encourage and care for others, you are welcome to join us.

2026-2027 Workshops

September 10 — Anxiety & Fear
Anxiety and fear can take many forms—we may call them concern, worry, fright, or even phobia. But how does Scripture help us understand and respond to them? Join us as we consider a biblical perspective on anxiety and fear.

October 1 — Parenting: When a Child Breaks Your Heart
No child is perfect, but it can be deeply painful when our children make choices that disappoint us or dishonor the Lord. How should a parent respond? We'll consider biblical truth that offers wisdom and hope for hurting hearts.

November 12 — Contentment & Finances
What happens when finances are uncertain or money begins to consume our thoughts? Discover how a biblical perspective on money can shape our hearts and lead us toward genuine contentment.

December 10 — Counseling Jesus
When someone comes to us for help, it is easy to offer our own opinions or advice. But biblical soul care points people beyond us to Christ. We'll consider how the hope of the gospel speaks into the struggles of everyday life.

January 14 — Grief & Loss
Grief is a natural response to loss, yet we don't always know what to do with our sadness. Scripture gives us a language for lament as well as lasting hope. Join us as we consider how God's Word helps us walk through grief and care for those who are hurting.

February 11 — Marriage: Resolving Everyday Conflict
Conflict is inevitable in close relationships, especially marriage. Yet we are often unprepared for how to respond when disagreements arise. Learn biblical principles for navigating everyday conflict with grace, wisdom, and love.

March 11 — Addiction
Our world offers many explanations and solutions for addiction. What does the Bible have to say? We'll explore a biblical understanding of the desires and behaviors that can seek to control us and consider how God's truth points us toward hope and change.

April 8 — Caregiving & Terminal Illness
Caring for someone facing chronic or terminal illness can bring weariness, discouragement, uncertainty, and fear. We'll consider how Scripture gives us hope and helps us honor the Lord as we walk through suffering and care for those we love.

May 13 — Trauma: Redeeming Your Painful Past
The effects of sin can be painful and long-lasting, whether through our own choices or the actions of others. While the past can shape us, it does not have to define us. We'll consider our identity in Christ and the hope Scripture provides as we live in light of God's promises.
