Trust Walk
Blindfolded participants are led through an obstacle course by a sighted partner. An excellent team building game with a lesson on being part of a Christian community.
Preparation
Find a suitable location, ideally with some obstacles for the players to avoid, go over or under.
Alternatively, you can create an obstacle course with tables and chairs.
Ensure that these obstacles are safe and age-appropriate for your participants.
How to Play
Pair everyone up. If there is an odd number of players, one person can partner the game leader.
One person in each pair will be blind-folded, and the other person will lead him/her through the obstacle course. Depending on the ages of your participants and how easy/safe your obstacle course is, you may allow each pair to hold hands, or rely purely on verbal communications.
After successful completion of the obstacle course, switch roles and repeat.

The Bible uses various analogies to emphasize that we are not alone, and that God does not want us to live as individuals. We, as fellow believers in Christ Jesus, are all part of his body, with Christ as the head. We must learn to work as one united body and support one another. We must learn to rely on one another for support, so that we can collectively glorify God.
Up in the Air
Try to keep 3 balloons in the air for as long as possible and learn about being part of a Christian community.
Preparation
Blow up balloons. (Alternatively, get the players to blow them up just before game begins.)
How to Play
Divide into teams of 3-5 players.
Give each team 3 balloons.
Round 1
This round is played individually. 1 player from each team will try to keep 3 balloons in the air for the longest time while the other teammates keep time. (All the teams can play at the same time.)
They may use any part of their body to keep the balloons in the air, but the balloons must not rest on their body or be held.
The turn ends when 1 balloon touches the floor and it is the next player’s turn to try.
Give each player at least 2 tries.
After everyone has at least 2 tries, ask each team to share the best time for their team.
Round 2
This round is played as a team. Members of each team will work together to keep 3 balloons in the air for the longest time. Have someone from the team keep time. (All the teams can play at the same time.)
Give each team at least 2 tries
After every team has at least 2 tries, ask each team to share the best time for their team.

Word Chains
Play this game anywhere! Players take turns to list items within a chosen category. But the item named must begin with the last letter of the previous item. For example, if the category is food, the players can say “pizza”, followed by “apple pie”, “eggs”, “spaghetti”, and so on.
How to Play
Have everyone sit in a circle and pick a category.
The first player must name an item in that category.
The player to the left continues by naming another item in the same category that begins with the last letter of the previous item.
For example, if the category is food, the first player can say “pizza”. Since the last letter of this word is “A”, the next player must name a food that begins with the letter A.
For each category, the items listed cannot be repeated.
Choose a new category when you can’t list anymore items.
Tips
1. Select categories that your players are familiar with. You can ask your players for suggestions, or use some of these examples:
- Food
- Fruit
- Animals
- Things you can find in a mall
- Names of people
- Cartoon Characters
- Movie Titles
- Song Titles
- States
- Countries
- Sports teams
2. Avoid embarrassing those who are not good with spelling.
If you are not sure of the literacy level of your players, be sure to tell everyone the last letter of each item named. You can also consider allowing players to skip their turn.
Variation for Younger Players
Instead of naming something that begins with the last letter of the previous word, simply name anything from that category.
For example, if the category is food, players can name any food.

- Say
- In this game, we named many different things from each category.
- For example, we named many different types of food. They look different, they taste different, but they all belong to the same category!
- In today’s lesson, we are going to talk about something else that are different but belong together.

Conclude
The Bible tells us that all Christians are part of the body of Christ, and Christ is the head of the body. Just like every part of the human body is important, every individual person is also important. God does not want us to live as individuals. We need one another. We must work together and support one another.
