Jephthah’s LAST DAYS
With the account of Jephthah we have experienced another step down in the depravity of Israel during the time of the Judges.
It is always so when God is not honored. Idolatry continues, division among God’s people deepens, and God is a byword in Israel. I am reminded that the Church of Jesus Christ around the world is so associated with the World; we are so divided that we fight over the least things. Would that we would all just focus on the essential things we agree on than on the minutiae we don’t. Unity seems to be a lost cause in the Christian world today, even though it was one of the last prayers of Jesus before Calvary.
