Magnifying the Awesome Character of Our God

• God cannot be compared or likened to anything or anyone we ever have known or ever could know.
• God’s omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence are so great that any puny mortal who dares turn against him is bound for real trouble. In fact, this psalm ends with verses 19–22 on the punishment of such rebels.
• The character of God is the norm for who we are and what we would do and become. His character sets the norm and the standard for what is right, just, good, and ethical."
• God is majestic in His being. He is also relational. He promises to be near and be our refuge and source of strength.
