1 Timothy 5:1-7 - Respectful Conduct Towards Others
Being respectful of others includes:
1.Giving and receiving loving, godly counsel and encouragement in the Lord.
2.Seeking out our “Pauls” and our “Timothys”.
3.Coming alongside someone in more of a shoulder-to-shoulder rather than a face-to-face relationship.
4.Understanding and accepting that God wants our attitudes and actions towards women to be sinless.
5.Respecting women enough to seek help, encouragement, and support to get our issues addressed.
6.The church being fiscally responsible as it differentiates between truly needy widows and those that should be supported by their families.
7.Our being respectful in our family relationships and faithful in our walk with God so we will be supported in our old age.
8.Our being seriously willing to take on these roles and responsibilities.
Ask yourself:
1.Are you willing?
2.Which does God want you to do first?
3.When will you start?
