Fellowship Kids Nursery

About Us

  • Nursery ministry is divided into two areas: Infants/Crawlers (newborns all the way up until they are walking comfortably) and Toddlers (children who are confident walkers through age 2.)
  • Snacks (organic animal crackers) and water are provided . Cheerios are also available if a child has allergies. Parents are welcome to bring their own snack as well. If a child has an allergy, that information is noted at check-in and your child will receive a red dot on their name tag. Please make sure to communicate with the check-in team if there are any new allergies.
  • Diapers are regularly checked and changed. We do not apply any diaper creams or powders.
  • The entire area as well as toys are cleaned regularly. We use a hospital-grade cleaning solution that is also completely toxin-free and safe for our sensitive little ones.

Saturdays - During our Saturday worship time (FSAT), nursery and preschool-aged kids are together for the evening.  Drop off and pick up occurs at the FBC Nursery.

Check out a typical Sunday with us!

Gathering

As children arrive, volunteers make sure they are placed in the appropriate room. Once in their classroom, children are cared for by trained volunteers who interact and engage the children through age-appropriate toys, books, and songs. There is a Bible story that is read during snack time.

Drop-off

If a child is crying at drop-off and not able to settle within 15 minutes, we call the parents. We encourage parents to keep trying! Keep bringing your baby or toddler back week after week, even if they cry. We have found that after 4 or 5 weeks, they begin to feel comfortable and the crying lessens or stops. We encourage the parent to volunteer on a short-term basis if the child has a particularly hard time separating from them.

Our Mission

The nursery ministry exists to partner with parents to show their children the love of Christ. You can never start too early. As babies and toddlers learn to trust the environment at church, they will cultivate a habit of living within the Body of Christ that will benefit them for years. Babies can begin to see the heart of God through the volunteers. Toddlers can begin to learn basic truths about who God is and how much He loves them through Bible stories and songs. We hope every child feels loved and connected to the Body of Christ.

If you are pregnant or just had a new baby, we want to know! Please email [email protected]. We value new babies and we have a special gift for you.
