Habakkuk - "As Waters Cover the Sea" - Message

How does the story of Adam and Eve connect to Noah, Abraham, Moses, Israel, Habakkuk, Jesus, and Revelation? In this message, we step back to see the Bible as one unified story—the story of God’s plan to fill the earth with people who know and worship Him.

Tracing the narrative from Genesis to Revelation, we see how humanity’s rebellion disrupted God’s good creation, but never disrupted God’s purposes. Through His promises to Abraham, His covenant with Israel, the line of David, and ultimately the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God continues His work of redemption and restoration.

The promise of Habakkuk 2:14—that “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea”—points us toward the ultimate fulfillment of God’s plan. As followers of Christ, we are part of this story, called to know God, make Him known, and live with confidence that He is sovereign over history and always keeps His Word.
