“Don’t Fear a Bigger, Broader, and Bolder Gospel” - Message

Aug 16, 2026    Scott Santmier

What is heaven really like—and how should the reality of heaven change the way we live today? In this sermon, we explore the biblical picture of heaven as a place of worship, fellowship, restoration, creativity, and the fullness of God's presence. Revelation 19 and 21 give us a glimpse of the wedding feast of the Lamb, the new creation, and a future where suffering, death, fear, and sin are no more.

But heaven isn't simply a destination we look forward to someday. The hope of heaven is meant to shape how we live right now. Because the gospel is bigger than simply being saved from our sins and going to heaven—it is God's plan to restore what sin has broken and give us a new identity, purpose, and life in Christ.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to live as citizens of heaven and ambassadors of Christ, sharing the good news with the people God has placed around us. This message challenges us to consider what keeps us from sharing the gospel and reminds us that our lives, conversations, relationships, and stories can all become opportunities to point others to Jesus.
